Firefly Welding Bug operator training course
|
IPWL are now able to offer a five day training course on the Firefly welding bug system. The course includes Firefly welding bug operation, programming of parameters and an overview of routine maintenance. The course is practical with an emphasis on ‘hands on’ use of Firefly welding bug. It is intended for a variety of students ranging from welding bug technicians and weld supervisors / engineers to welders who want to increase their skill base.
IPWL are able to tailor the course to suit applications requiring a more in-depth focus on specific areas.
The training takes place at our facility in Yorkshire at regular intervals throughout the year.
A recent trainee, John Kelleher from Cork Ireland says:
“ Just a quick note to say thanks for the chance to train on your Firefly welding bug. Having a stick and tig background I was quite nervous of the prospect of having to go back to school, but as you lads said you only need a welding background. The five day course was fab, getting welding within two hours of arriving, and STT rooting, hot passing, filling, and split capping happily, and probably within test by the fourth day. This experience and training has opened a new career opportunity for me as the pipeline industry is moving ahead, they will be needing bug welding operators. You have a fantastic welding bug and I know I will be using it as the number one bug in the near future. Thanks again”
To register your interest in one of our forthcoming welding bug operator training courses, please complete the following form. We will then be in touch with further details.
NB. You must have a background in welding to participate on this course. Firefly is only a tool - it still requires a qualified welder to operate.
