Automated/mechanised modules within courses such as NVQs, City and Guilds, craft apprenticeships and the like require students to get hands on practical experience in the use of actual equipment. After all, welding is a practical skill; there is no substitute for doing it for real. Training using modern equipment is also part of the mix students need to enhance their job prospects.

IPWL would work alongside your staff to ensure the practical learning outcomes of the formal curriculum are achieved. Your staff would deliver the academic content of the course. IPWL envisage the training would take place on your premises at an appropriate time during the course. To ensure each student gets the required instruction, hands on experience and time to complete course content, class numbers would be restricted. Together, we can make it possible.

With no capital outlay, a ‘pay as you go’ hire in option puts this training within the financial grasp of colleges.

Successful candidates would become approved Firefly operators.
